A Little About
Myself . . .
I currently reside in Elliot Lake and knife making has been my
passion for many years. The knives are made for hunting,
fishing or for a collector's personal enjoyment. Elliot
Lake is a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada, where hunting,
fishing and trapping are a part of the local way of life.
In 1981, while
working on the DEW line in the Canadian Arctic a
co-worker showed me a knife he had crafted from a
discarded saw blade. He had used Plexiglas washers to make the
handle. Seeing this hand crafted knife is what peaked my
interest, and got me hooked on creating my own knives.
The first
knife I made was fashioned with old truck springs, heated with a
torch and hammered out until it took on the shape of a knife.
While the camp cook was off duty I would use his ovens to temper
my blades.
My career moved on and I became involved in commercial
construction in Canada and the Middle East. Whenever the
opportunity arose for me to get home, I would spend what time I
could making knives.
Semi-retired
now, I am taking the opportunity to fulfill my dream of becoming
a full-time knife maker. I welcome the opportunity to create
new knives based on the wants and needs of my customers.
Please look through my site. If you
have any questions, do not hesitate to email or call me. I
will be attending as many shows as I can, and I can let
you know my schedule.
